Q: How to Know if Your House Is Infected
A: The discovery of winged termites indoors suggests a condition that needs infestation almost always. The swarming machines are also seen around windows and doors because they are drawn to light. The winged termites are frequently confused with ants, which appear to be swarming during the same year. Termites have straight antennas, waists of the same size, uniformly thickened. The bees, on the other hand, have elbowed antennas, small waists and forewings longer than their hind wings.
Termites swarmes coming out of tree stumps, woodpiles and other in the yard are not necessarily of concern, and do not mean that the house is infested automatically. In the other side, if swarmers emerge from the base or from doors or terraces, the home is likely to be infested.
